THIS IS SO SO TRUE!!
Knowledge leads to arrogance if it is not constantly supplemented by the purification
of the heart:
We have today people who are upon the path of knowledge (studying different
sciences of the deen) but they consider the purification of the heart a thing on the
side, something which can be done at the end. This is what leads to arrogance and
makes one's knowledge a means of one's own destruction. Rather purification of the
heart should be something constant, for then we will realise the true purpose of all this
knowledge.
